create brain you want

Have your parents ever forced you to learn music or dance when you were a kid because they thought that was the only age you could learn? Earlier, we believed that Brain stops developing by puberty and then it declines as we age. Scientists then thought that how your brain develops when you are a kid determines your brain structure for the rest of the life. Forget about that story! Now neuroscientists say you can create brain you want at any age.

Good news is that ‘Brain is Plastic.’ Every time you learn new things, you’re strengthening your brain. Physical exercise strengthens your muscles, tissues, and organs. Similarly, when you learn something new, you use specific areas in the brain making those regions stronger and more connected.

Studies done on London Taxi drivers in 2000, revealed that they had more spatial memory if they had spent lots of time in driving. This lead to an explosion of research into neuroplasticity also known as brain plasticity, the capacity of the brain to form new neural pathways.

You can create brain you want with training.  Just after a few sessions your brain starts to change and the longer the training, the more sound the effect.

According to developmental psychologist Howard Gardner, there are nine types of intelligence.

Let us see which part of your brain is more developed and how can you create brain you want.

Nine Types of Intelligence

1. Naturalist Intelligence

It is the human ability to distinguish living things and feel nature. Have you ever wondered why some people are so fond of animals, so particular about living environment-friendly? Our planet really in need of more such nature-smart people now.Nature-smart people are great in applying scientific theories to real-life scenarios.

Would you like to increase your naturalist intelligence?

Get out of the comfort of your home and start going for nature walks, trekking, gardening. These are also excellent stress busters.

 2. Musical Intelligence

Are you a singer, music lover? Then probably you are a sound smart person. Musical intelligence enables us to recognize, create, reproduce and reflect on music.

Numerous studies suggest that music can increase memory, help you relax, even repair brain damages.Research suggests that listening to music with only instruments in the background before performing a task aids to increase memory and attention. Thus leading to better performance, even if you are not a music lover!

Not a music lover? After knowing about the benefits, would you like to increase your musical intelligence? Learn an instrument; this is the best way to improve your music smartness. Listen to different kinds of music.

Start singing! Sing wherever you can! In the shower, in the car, during cooking. You will get back the playfulness in you.

3. Logical-Mathematical Intelligence

It links to general intelligence. Earlier, if kids were excellent in mathematics, we used to consider them as brilliant. It is the ability to analyze problems logically, work efficiently with mathematical operations, and investigate issues using the scientific method. Finding patterns and deductive reasoning are other capabilities associated with this intelligence.

Would you like to improve your number-reasoning? Start playing mathematical puzzles, card games, etc.

5. Interpersonal Intelligence

It is the ability to understand and interact effectively with others.

As per the latest studies, Learning a new language changes your brain network both structurally and functionally. Studies suggest that if you know a second language, the onset of dementia and Alzheimer’s in you get postponed by 4.5 years. It is significantly better than the best Alzheimer’s drugs which can delay symptoms by only 6-12 months.
Is n’t it more than enough reason to learn a new language?

You can be more word-smart by reading interesting books, journaling, playing word games, etc.

8. Intra-personal Intelligence

Are you a shy person who does lots of self-talk? Probably, you are a self-smart person. It is the capacity to follow one’s inner world of emotions and thoughts consciously.

You can exercise it by engaging more positive self-talks, preparing personal growth plan, etc.

9. Spatial Intelligence

Spatial intelligence is three-dimensional thinking ability. Picture smart people possess excellent visualization, graphic, artistic and spatial reasoning skills.
